Field Trip Week, Part I

We're on our own this week (DH is out of town), so we've been getting out of the house to keep out of trouble!

SATURDAY: Riding the ladybugs at Fiesta La Ballona, which is like Culver City's version of an end-of-summer county fair. Much fun and so homey, and we'll be back. (Esp. when little guy is bigger and can ride more of the rides.)
SUNDAY: Visiting the ducks at Douglas Park with grandma Sylvia and grandpa Jack.
Park Highlight: Duck on Turtle on Rock.
MONDAY: The Children's Garden at the Huntington was AMAZING. So much fun, so creative, and perfect for a hot day. The history of science exhibit and the ecosystems exhibits in the greenhouse were also stellar. The Huntington is pretty expensive, but man do you get value for your dollar.
TUESDAY: Jackson and buddy B on the steps of the Griffith Observatory, zooming their new toy Space Shuttle Discovery and Saturn V rockets, respectively. First planetarium show of the day is reserved for under-5s and it was magical!
